Discover - Find Liquidity Pools
Helps you identify the best liquidity pool opportunities
The Discover page for Liquidity Pools is your gateway to exploring and analyzing DeFi liquidity opportunities across multiple decentralized exchanges and networks. This powerful analytics dashboard aggregates data from all supported DEXs and blockchain networks, presenting you with a comprehensive view of available pools and their performance metrics.
Getting Started
When you first land on the Discover page, you'll see a table displaying the top-performing liquidity pools across our entire ecosystem. The page shows thousands of pools by default (as indicated in the "Top Pools" tab), giving you immediate access to a wealth of opportunities without needing to navigate through multiple platforms.
Key Features and Controls
Search Functionality
At the top of the page, you'll find a search bar labeled "Search for a token to include." This allows you to quickly filter pools containing specific tokens you're interested in, streamlining your discovery process when you have particular assets in mind.
Filtering Options
The page provides three primary filter controls:
Exchange Filter: This dropdown lets you narrow your search to specific DEXs. Whether you prefer Uniswap, Orca, or any other supported exchange, you can isolate pools from your preferred platforms.
Network Filter: Similar to the exchange filter, this allows you to focus on specific blockchain networks. You can view pools from Ethereum, Base, Solana, or any other supported chain.
Calculation Timeframe: Set to "14 days" by default, this crucial setting determines the time period used for all calculated metrics. You can adjust this to 1, 7, 14, 30, 60, or 90 days, allowing you to analyze short-term or long-term performance based on your investment strategy.
Favorite Pools
Each pool has a star icon that you can click to mark it as a favorite. Once you've favorited pools, you can toggle between two views:
Top Pools: Shows all available pools
Favorite Pools: Displays only your starred selections
This feature helps you track and quickly access pools you're monitoring or considering for investment.
Understanding the Data Table
The table presents comprehensive metrics for each liquidity pool:
Pool Identification
Each row begins with the pool's token pair (like WETH/USDC or WSOL/USDC), clearly showing which assets you'd be providing liquidity for. The tokens are displayed with their icons for easy visual identification.
Performance Metrics
Average APR: This shows the expected annual percentage return based on historical data. The calculation assumes a concentrated liquidity position with ranges set to the 14-day price high and low.
Price Volatility: Measured over your selected timeframe (default 14 days), this percentage indicates how much the price ratio between the two assets fluctuates. Higher volatility suggests more impermanent loss risk.
TVL (Total Value Locked): The current total value of all assets deposited in the pool. This real-time metric helps gauge the pool's size and liquidity depth. Larger TVLs typically indicate more stable pools with less slippage.
Correlation: This metric shows how the two assets' prices move in relation to each other over your selected timeframe. Values closer to 1 indicate strong positive correlation, while lower values suggest the assets move more independently.
AVG Daily Fees: The average fees generated per day over your selected timeframe. This gives you a concrete idea of the pool's fee-generating potential.
Daily Fees / TVL: This efficiency ratio shows the daily fee generation relative to the pool's size. Higher percentages indicate more efficient fee generation per dollar locked.
AVG Daily Rewards and Daily Rewards / TVL: These columns appear when pools offer additional incentive rewards beyond trading fees. If not applicable, these columns won't be displayed.
AVG Daily Volume: The average trading volume passing through the pool daily, calculated over your selected timeframe.
Daily Volume / TVL: This liquidity efficiency metric shows how much volume the pool processes relative to its size.
Column Management
You can customize your view by hiding columns you don't need, making the interface cleaner and more focused on the metrics that matter most to your strategy.
Sorting and Analysis
Every column header includes sort arrows, allowing you to organize pools by any metric. Want to find the highest APR pools? Click the APR column. Looking for the most liquid pools? Sort by TVL.
Beyond sorting, the column headers also provide filtering capabilities. You can set specific ranges or thresholds for each metric - filter for pools with APR above 50%, TVL over $1 million, or volatility below 10%. Combine multiple filters across different columns to create highly specific searches, such as finding pools with high APR but low volatility, or pools with strong daily volume relative to their TVL.
Best Practices
Once you've identified a promising pool, the purple "Simulate" button on each row takes you to the next step in the Metrix Finance app. This simulation feature allows you to model potential positions, analyze different scenarios, and make informed decisions before committing capital.
Adjust the timeframe based on your investment horizon - use shorter periods for active management or longer periods for strategic positions
Compare multiple metrics - don't focus solely on APR; consider volatility, correlation, and TVL for a complete picture
Use favorites to create a watchlist of pools you're actively monitoring
Regular monitoring - Market conditions change; what's optimal today might not be tomorrow
The Discover page serves as your command center for liquidity pool analysis, providing all the data you need to make informed DeFi investment decisions in one comprehensive, filterable, and sortable interface.
